"Has anyone tried this diet out .. wondering how the 2 'fast' days go ??"

Briefly explain

I have not heard of it

I'm currently on a high protein, low carb diet

I have dropped 3kgs in 2 weeks and with treats on the weekend

Not done it myself but you can do the fast days however you like. Some people like to have a few snacks through the day and other save it all till the end of the day and have a meal then. So long as you stick under 500 locals its fine. Just work out what's the best way for you to do it.

I've done similar but in reverse.

I ate quite strictly healthy during the week and relaxed the rules at the weekend.

Worked well for me as I could force myself to eat healthy at work because once I'm there what I have with me for lunch is precisely that.

One question : must it be 2 consecutive days or can it be any 2 days in 7?

After a brief Google, and using Google Scholar, as well as normal Google, the basic consensus is, you should eat healthy, not use fasting diets.

Well, who'd a thought it?!?!?!

I love crazy diets! What's this all about?

My current daily diet consists of two protein shakes and one meal of meat and low carb green veg. No pain no gain! Loose about 2-4lb a week. Plus not lethargic and still able to do 40mins of cardio.

Your diet sounds easier?

I'm losing 2lb every week. And I don't diet. I eat 5 meals a day every day.

How? Portion control and eating the right foods most of the time. And exercising

fasting diets are not good. Neither is quick weight loss. Slow and steady.

Fad diets do not work long term.

When will people realise this? If you want to lose weight, eat less, and exercise more, it sure as shit ain't rocket science.

They work to get the initial weight off quickly. Then as long as you adapt it to include exercise and healthy eating or the longer term I don't see an issue with them.

The only time they don't work is when the person goes back to the way they were beforehand.. Which is probably 80% of crash dieters!

the 2 fast days can be any 2 days of the week but must not be consecutive days. On the fast days a woman may eat 500 calories and a guy 600 calories. On the other 5 days you may eat anything that you wish. The reviews that i have read from the medical proffesional has been quite positive

We have been following this diet for about 5 weeks. Yes it can be useful for weight loss but that is not the reason we follow it.

Without going into too much detail research points that fasting can slow down the ageing process and assist the body in repairing cells. This can be useful to fight and prevent cancers. If you are really interested in this diet then I suggest you google Dr Michael Mosely and watch the TV programme.

Don't see point in diets, you loose weight, then after diet ends your. Body reacts by either regaining the lost weight or worse overshoot it and you end up bigger!

I (grumpy) have gone for lifestyle changes instead.. Now eat Paleo, excercises and nolonger drink .

Result is I now eat far better, feel better and in under 3 weeks have lost over 3 inches of gut and chest. Dropped from a size xxl tshirt to a Large and my old size 40 jeans hang on me, my size 38 ones are also to big now aswell

They work great. All diets work. It's the people that mess it up!
