It is illegal to sell dildos in Texas.

Without looking it up, what do you reckon? True or false?

I think of Texas as a religious state, so I'd say true.

The answers it is technically true.

The Texas obscenity statute prohibits the sale of sex toys in Texas. The law was introduced in 1973, and was last updated in 2003. It is, however, regarded as unconstitutional and so unenforceable.

Also, owning six or more sex toys will be automatically taken as the intent to supply them, so it allows for owners to be found guilty of a law aimed at sellers. I suspect a few people here need to be careful if they go to Texas!

There have been prosecutions, but everybody charged got off, if you'll excuse the expression.
