Calling stuff out is never the problem, the way in which it's done most of the time is. I don't call many things out but if I do, I like to think I see both sides before doing so and try to disagree in a way that doesn't belittle or demean.

Little point most of the time as topics are so mute it's hardly worth reply, that or posters write something just to inflame a thread to never be seen for months. I don't like bullying or talking down to people though. There's ways to say things that has the same effect without the negative consequence, but again it much depends on the topic and shit talk.

I don’t think I’d call out general bullshit per se, people can use the forums how they want for fun - but I’d certainly challenge something that misaligned with my values (-isms) or that I thought was hurting someone. And I’d expect the same call out to me if I acted like that.

I don't take it as a personal slight. I know I'm not one of the more popular forum users but yeah, I'm happy for it to be called out.

I think it's probably what Joe said above - it depends on how it's done. If it's someone curious about my viewpoint, challenges it without falling into fallacies (esp ad hominem crap) I'm all for it. I like having different viewpoints shown to me. I like the interaction.

And to be honest, I'm more likely to interact with someone who can do it kindly but firmly. If that makes sense.

It really does depend on what is classed as bullshit.

I'll call it out regardless of who says it and especially if I think the brown nosing or fanny blindness is out of control.

If it's something I don't have experience of and haven't a clue if it's bullshit or just a mad crazy fact that I have no knowledge of then I'll give it a miss.

I've been called out by other fabbers claiming my experiences are bullshit and yet when I look at their profile they weren't even born when it happened or have never set foot in this country.

I don't mind being called out of I say something moronic but get your facts straight before you challenge me on my own life experiences.

I am not on the forums enough usually. I call people out in person a lot on some biggoted views. With randoms on the internet I usually don't. I don't always like that I don't call it out on the internet but I like some semblance of sanity in my life.

I love authenticity and honesty so if someone thinks I need called out I like when they do it clearly and fairly.

I will say if I disagree with someone at times, other times I may delete what I'm going to say before I post because I think I can't be bothered or what's the point.

I'm not intimidated by so called popular forumites they are just people who post on here a lot.I've noticed over the years that people often pile on sticking for their forum buddies but won't pull the same people when on occasion they cross the line between giving an opinion and going on a personal attack on someone else.

I also have often seen that some people only support the ones they want to meet or fancy. And quite often will change their opinion depending on who is saying what.It can be quite amusing to watch. But sure that is the nature of fab I suppose.

I asked how she came to the conclusion that I was popular as I don't send messages, only receive one every couple of months and my pics get a handful of fabs at most?

She said it was because she saw me in the forums every day

If someone calls out bullshit with some justification: A logically valid claim, or at least a coherent rationale - no problem. If it's just one upmanship then go bark elsewhere little doggy.

I think you can challenge without being disrespectful. And it's more likely to be received by the other person if you do.

Zero shits, bull or otherwise, given about popularity.

All over

Hahimg unwisely expressed one or two viwes, I am sticking to only cake, what's for dinner, holiday and similar threads from now on personally as to be fair I will discuss serious matters with my family and friends only as often things here are misconstrued. Whilst I must stress there are plenty of great amazing and caring people on here (and had several experiences of that), there are those who thrive on argument (not opinion), twist things that others may say just to start something, start controversial threads and then disappear without even offering their own opinions, only reply to their 'friends' even though someone else said the same thing before, are ready to attack someone new who may not be familiar with the rules, are condescending if others can't express themselves as eloquently, show an air of superiority towards others, especially if they are established forumites and in so called clicks of the untouchables, are sycophants, hide behind the anonymity of a forum to express views that quite frankly are unacceptable and outside expected norms or show lack of compassion towards others and the circumstances they find themselves in. The moment I see any of that, I never go back to read those threads even if someone has replied to any of my posts. They can argue among themselves. I have no interest in that and life is hard enough without affording that kind of people anybof my time. Similarly I am now out of this thread as I have no doubt someone will find some offence in it, including the length of the post as someone actually did say when I previously posted a similarly long one. The only consolation is that thise behaving in this manner, all they do is just exposing their true character to the rest of us.

The last time I called a moron a moron. they snowflaked me, complained and I got banned for a week.

So can't be bothered any more.

How do you know they made the complaint?

Have we worked out what bullshit means yet? In my mind it's a made up story. (and so I wonder if gbsi comes from a previous set of threads)

Or is it bad behaviour... Outside of some circumstances, that's hard to call... But can be challenged.

Or iss this just a self congratulating thread for being a great person and standing up to the popular kids ? Hey fab, i do the right thing. Do you or am I better than you?

(Hey wait, have I just tried to call out bullshit? How did I do ? )

"Hahimg unwisely expressed one or two viwes, I am sticking to only cake, what's for dinner, holiday and similar threads from now on personally as to be fair I will discuss serious matters with my family and friends only as often things here are misconstrued. "

Someone got pissed at you for making a long post?

I don't come here to invest my time in bullshit.

I come here to smooch naked people and study dongs like they were hanging in a gallery.

I used to call people out but due to a couple previous times spent in Fab Jail I’m more likely to just sit and watch someone else do it now

"Got thinking today, does bullshit or negativity get called out the forums, I'm personally comfortable in doing so, but also having mine called out.

Ate you comfortable in calling out bullshit, especially if it comes from one of the more popular forumites...

How do you take bring challenged on the forums, is it mehhh its all good or fo you take it as a personal slight

"

I don’t take anything personally from fab. It’s just comical entertainment I see it as .

To be honest I see it and stay out of it rather than call it out on here because I just can't be bothered.

I'm not like that in real life though
