Tell me I did the sensible thing?

Apart from the possible scam issue there would be a unhealthy power dynamic there I'd be unhappy with even it wasn't a scam.

Then again,she could have been lovely, and, as she mentioned, poor,and I've just missed out on an experience?

They did say they were poor too.

Had someone wanting me to send them a tenner for petrol so they could get to my place. This was after a meeting had been arranged.

I told them to get the fuel and I'd give them the £10 when they arrived. Then the sob story started. I never ever give people I haven't met any money.

alas you'll never know you could have ordered the taxi and paid for the taxi to pick her up and bring her to you and she could have been the sexiest thing on two legs but you'll never know now

It is not unreasonable if you are taking someone on a restaurant date to pick them up at all.
