One of you needs to get verified by another means.

The reason for the rule is so that, say, I can't verify the phone in my left hand from the phone in my right hand.

It's not stupid, it's to stop fakes.

First check your social score and if you are in the 99th percentile you may qualify to meet a real human as opposed to the filthy unverified.

If you're a member and you've been, the club itself will verify you if you quote your membership number. It's a good first veri and better than one from a profile with one verification.

Yes, I can totally determine that from your four words.

The phones in my hands would be fakes, which this system would stop. In theory my meet verification is linked through however many steps to the owners of Fab. A friend of a friend of a friend (etc ad nauseum).

If you see profiles you believe to be fake, report them.

In the meantime, unverified accounts verifying each other completely defeats the purpose of the system.

But yet fake profiles still exist that are also verified… As i have encountered them first hand. So my point still stands but enjoy your day lady

If anyone unverified could verify anyone the fakes on here would be x1000 in approx an hour so yes to a degree it certainly works.

The second thing you need is common sense, spotting a fake on fab is pretty easy.

The law against murder exists to prevent murder, yet murders still happen, therefore it doesn't exist to prevent murder?

I should also add that allowing people who verified by cam to verify others is a mistake because its one of the ways catfish are using to get around the system.

I can understand why someone might view it as necessary but not sufficient, but for me it's a stepping stone that some might need. It is tough for guys here.

(Meanwhile, I met someone in a pub within 24 hours and forgot to even send a photo. Of any kind, let alone my face! oops)

It is BUT people are then using the account that is genuine to verify their fake couple/single female account

I see it as a cumulative thing.

I get a sense of the person through their communications with me and with others. Verifications add to that impression. Social first, see if anything rings untrue. Tell someone where I'm going. Vet, vet, vet.

I think some people do want a failsafe - it doesn't exist. The person who's been verified by 1000 people as being lovely and respectful might secretly be an axe murderer and you might end up being his next mark (this is entirely hypothetical I'm making no accusations). But if you add your own checks together, you reduce your risk.

The only way to entirely stop these things is to not engage at all.

Life has risk. Mitigate it.

I understand the hypothesis. Not all people with 1000 veris are axe murderers.

Agree.

Thank you lol. Verifying is just the first step before actually taking a convo a bit more serious for me. Doesn’t mean they are legit but u gonna have a convo with a pictureless profile with no verification at all or an account with the simple basics conpleted lol… I think I already know the answer
