Nr Exeter

After making an epic japanese curry I thought I'd ask what the rest of you like to cook.

The curry was really good, now in the fridge for its hibernation to become even better - yum!

Hard boiled egg (still warm), mashed up, salad cream instead of that awful mayonnaise everyone seems to use these days, then chopped up pickled onions and sliced tomatoes. All inside a heavy, doughy roll (submarine or oven bottom or stottie etc) with good quality thickly sliced ham. There, hungry now. Actually it reminds me of sunny afternoons in front of the tv watching the 2007 world cup. Happy days.

A good old Sunday roast for me. I'm told the roast potatoes are my signature piece.

I like making soups and stews generally as well but I wouldn't say I've got it down to an art yet!

It's pretty much the only vegetarian dish I cook and always goes down well when I'm 'entertaining'...

I do an amazing Mushroom & Potato Bake. Layers of mushroom and onion cooked in olive oil with a blob of butter and seasoned well with herbs, salt and petter, with sliced potato on top, then a layer of grated cheese, then another layer of each again and topped with sliced tomato.

Torquay

Before the days that I virtually stopped cooking.....I spent some time in the kitchen of a well known Devon based Indian restaurant learning how to cook my favourite dishes.

So if pressed.....my signature dish would be Chicken Korma and Onion Bhaji.
