why has there been an xplosion of geeky northerners on tv? and why do i find then quite appealing?

theres guy whats is face who likes tea and built a boat

brian cox, ummmmmmm astronomer??? or physisist or something

obviously their cleverness is not rubbing off on me

I think they'd like you to remember their names and maybe some of the stuff they are trying to pass on. They have feelings too you know.

Yes, Brian Cox is a Physicist and NOT an Astronomer and, as such, should not be allowed anywhere near the presenters chair for the Sky at Night!!

Yes, Brian Cox is a Physicist and NOT an Astronomer and, as such, should not be allowed anywhere near the presenters chair for the Sky at Night!!

Just watched that long haired northerner on the nature show, and he was here in Brum - could have called in, but guess other nature called more loudly. There does seem to have been an explosion of late in northerners/science presentation, but better regional folks feeling at ease, than received pronunctiation being expected.

With the greatest respect to Patrick Moore, he was the first to admit that he was only an amateur astronomer. I think Brian Cox would bring more viewers to the Sky at Night, which can only be a good thing.

Brian May has been suggested as new presenter of Sky at Night.

He even bought Patrick Moore's house a few years ago and let Patrick live there rent free.
