I've always wanted to experience a club event, but I won't lie I just can't find the courage to go.

I'm more worried about going for the 1st time and not knowing what I can do and what I can't do .

I'm really sociable and down to earth and can talk to anyone. I just wouldn't have a clue. I've been asked to go numerous times, but sh#t out of going.

Bizzare really because I go around Europe DJing playing in crazy clubs in the likes of Berlin the craziest places of all and play in front of lots of people , no worries what so ever.

Yet I can't get myself to go a swingers club / event and mingle

How was it the 1st time for you people who do go?

you’re stressing over nothing really pal, if you do eventually go to one, maybe one that’s been arranged on here, try and arrange to meet people you’ve already chatted to here who are going, i’ve been to a few socials and it’s more difficult as a complete stranger to everyone than if you’ve already chatted online to a few of the other people also in attendance.

Should add i attended socials with my wife so as a couple it was a lot easier to strike up a conversation with people around us.

You should walk around inviting everyone to feel your muscles. That'd break the ice.

Thanks Yeah thats good advice to be fair meeting people I speak to online rather than complete strangers. I actually didn't even look at it that way. I know a good few off here now I'm friends with.

Thanks for that

All of the different club websites have an etiquette code, listed for appropriate behaviour at their club.

Generally don't touch unless invited to do so, is the most important one.

The first time is daunting, but just take a deep breath before you walk through the door and go for it. What's the worst that can happen.

I still get nerves but they are excited nerves and all part of it. Go and be sociable and mingle with no expectations and you'll be fine.

Hardest part is walking through the door mate the rest comes easy.

Tell the staff you are a first timer and they will likely give you a tour.
