So if you know a couple is not actually a couple, but a chap pretending otherwise?

What would you do?

If it's a 'btw I'm single now' profile (these can go on for a while for some men in these places ) you could report it if you felt like it. If Fab finds someone in that situation for too long they could send a message I suppose. Be we probably can't do much about this kind of thing ultimately, apart from making sure everything's covered before meeting I suppose.

somewhere close

You can normally tell when the chat turns dirty or another common one is when they go “it’s Alex here, Claire has gone to sleep now”, no it was Alex all along

Yes definitely

Reporting I feel is probably pointless, is he actually breaking any rules… someone more brave than I will probably name and shame… I’m not altogether fussed really…

Reporting does nothing on here. I've reported certain photos from other sites multiple times but nothing happens

"Yes definitely

A few questions.

How do you know it's just a single guy? We were accused of just that in the forums recently because it's just me that posts here, despite recent veris clearly saying otherwise.

It's not unheard of for only one half of a couple to deal with messages, so it can come across as odd. Fox does ours and trust me, they're a hell of a lot shorter, straight to the point and less waffley than anything I'd ever write.

If you're 100% sure it's just a guy then report, block and move on. Continuing to engage with them may provide short term entertainment and you may feel entitled to string them along as they appear to be attempting to do to you, but the longer you carry on the more it encourages them to do it to others.

Cut ties, focus on profiles you think are real and forget any that you're unsure of. Why waste time and energy on something that will never happen?

"Bum him"

I read that as "burn", which I thought was extreme. Your answer makes more sense. Unless he's a witch, obvs.

Report, block and move on.

This place is sadly rife with fakes. It got worse during Covid.

It is really difficult to prove.

If you report and he needs to photo verify as a couple, he just needs a gullible woman to take a photo with him?

You could say of someone else "I know him in real life, he doesn't have a girlfriend"

But you never know what is behind closed doors.

Amazing how many "couple" profiles quickly become "oh the wife and I have just seperated but you will still come over?"

There's several profiles posting photos from years ago on a loop.

Their photos..but wife long gone.

You are right, difficult to prove… been on here long enough for the tell tale signs… sadly for him.. he will never get to fulfil this fantasy of his.. it will just be all talk and no action in my view

Pointless reporting as nothing gets done. The site let's it happen for many reasons and the main reason is subscription money coming in.

Ask ‘her’ what her favourite cake is - if she doesn’t answer ‘all of it!!!’ Its definitely not a woman you’re chatting with!!
