So flounces off (See other thread) I thought would buy said pussy some more food (nother thread too), gets into car that is covered with snow, starts the engine and thought to myself (frome here is where is goes wrong even I know that lol), the snow on my car would be ice ............ so picture the scene ...... I am expecting to get out of the car again ........ leaves door open ............... puts on wipers and none of the snow is frozen and wipers whoosh half the windscreen of snow (at least five inches deep or more!!) comes into the car ................. I must be the only person that could build a snowman in my car without getting out ....... haha

Its not a look I am expecting to catch on .................

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Why did you leave the door open? It's harder to get the car warm if the door is open.

I've gone out to my snow-covered car before, brushed the snow off the driver's door handle, opened the door, then stood there like an idiot gawping at the snow that WAS piled around the edge of the door, but is now sat in a heap on my driving seat...

Talking of snow....many of you have probably heard this one but I still laugh at it so here goes.

Highways agency warning saying anyone travelling in the snow need to take a shovel, blankets, sleeping bag, extra clothing including a hat, scarf, gloves, 24 hour supply of food, drink, de-icer,rock salt, torch, tow rope, petrol can, first aid kit and jump leads.

I looked a right idiot on the bus this morning.

Minxie, try doing it my way next time. Get the snow off the door frame. Get in the car. Turn it on and put the blowers on. Try the wipers. Get the scraper, get out and shut the door. Scrape the windows. Get into toasty car and drive off carefully.

Oh one word of caution, I broke my wiper while turning them on with thick ice on the screen.

It might be better checking how hard the ice is before sticking them on.

Turn on heated seat and blower also rear wondow demister . Close door Continue to sweep off snow from roof windows and lights . Spray windscreen with deicer and climb in to toasty car . Perfect no drama lol .

How boringly sensible do I sound? I brushed the snow off the car late last night, sprayed 'ice stop' on the windscreen and covered it with sacking. This morning there was some snow on it but only had to give it a quick brush over.

In this weather I carry a long handled broom, a spade, a blanket, drink, snacks, warm clothing for both of us and keep my mobile phone and Sat Nav charger in the car. I will NOT be caught out by this damned stuff
