We have watched most of season 2.

Personally think it’s a good thing that it’s becoming more popular and discussed, especially with younger people.

When you think of anything to do with swinging you automatically think of older couples and seedy parties but it’s good to show that there is also a younger crowd and plenty of couples experimenting too!

I thought it showed openess between people in a good way but I felt it understandably didn't represent me in any way and Mr N was bored by it

Get that it's staged, but it's tv, it's going to be.

Thought it was interesting it's showing partners where one is not really into it, then one who seems be driving it forward.

I'd say season 1 was better imo. Most of the people on it are OF stars etc.

So, yes. It’s incredibly staged and the ‘residents’ are all models. But I think it’s really interesting that more and more people are considering non-monogamy and if it’s generating conversations then I think that’s a good thing. I’m hoping the snippets they show of the couples with the therapist are just snippets though.

I think the other thing it has been good at demonstrating is that non-monogamy isn’t a one size fits all situation. Different people have different preferences and it’s nice to see that being celebrated.

I have watched a few of the episodes and yes as others have said it’s very staged, some of the people that join it are experimenting but at least there is some of the emotional and physical topics being raised that many of us have encountered during our time as swingers - The unable to perform on demand, the jealousy, the over whelming fear of not being enough, the break up of relationships and the start of a new lifestyle for many. Bit of a rip off from the swingers house that was on US TV but then most programmes are.

Being on Channel 4 not many people will probably see it or have even heard of it.

Funny thing is that we watched the 2nd one first. It was ok. The first one seems have super models in it. Also it would be nicer to see couples over 40 in the programme.

Season 2 has been better than season 1, think I'm up to around episode 6 now.

It's pretty staged but it is a TV show so they have to have things happening or no one would watch it.

I don't think people want to watch shows about sex with over 40s in. I think the oldest person on that show is the therapist

There’s a couple on here who are in it. The thing I’ve noticed is the girls in the couple’s are happy to get involved with swapping until their partner does and then they get upset. Just an observation not a criticism

I don't think people want to watch shows about sex with over 40s in. I think the oldest person on that show is the therapist "

I think that you are right as maybe over 40s on TV doesn't have that appeal. However it would be more genuine.

Series 1 was very similar. One of the so called "models" sold a story after saying she'd got paid to have threesomes on the show (she also appeared in The Circle). They're not actually swingers, just after a bit of fame. We watched episode 5 today and was very amused when Ben said he's a private person, despite stripping off on national television and everyone he knows now knows he wants to dabble in swinging

I have watched all of both series. Parts of it are pretty cringe & most of those on camera are of a certain age & body type, which is a little frustrating, as it's not very representative of the scene. Some issues raised are interesting & I personally find it fascinating that most of these couples go through a considerable amount of upset, jealousy & self consciousness as they embark on a journey that they claim to both want. As I haven't been involved in the lifestyle as a part of a couple, I have no experience of this.
