" Those triggering moments are exhausting as they rob one of energy! Quite frankly it's precious time that could be put to good use elsewhere. For me and family over the years, I've had to create boundaries! We're meant to be happy in this lifetime. Some people will never know the art of people skills especially respect. "The only thing I personally found to help when I get like that is to distract myself by studying myself, if that makes sense For recourses I use MITocw because it’s free and comprehensive Sort of sitting with myself and figuring out how I feel, why, what caused it and how I can get beck to myself again But who likes orange soda?!! " I hate that this has happened. I’m so sorry for your experience and the cruelty of it cascading beyond the immediate experience too. Ground yourself, and yea process the feelings. Know that you are very much loved. I cry. I reflect and feel strongly, even anger if it’s there. I turn to my friends and loved ones to remind me of all that I cherish. I reach out to make someone else feel good as that shifts things on for me. I think about what I can do to make a difference. And I forgive, for my sanity not because I’m negating what’s happened - it’s entirely selfish but may not be appropriate for your situation. Here if I can do anything. Love you | |||

" I obviously don’t know the specifics but I’ve recently experienced some very triggering traumatic stuff around my mum and Dad and finally decided 45 was old enough to say that’s it no more x I will only see them when I feel it’s safe emotionally for me | |||
