You are on your last tenner(twenty, thirty, whatever small amount), what do you do just spend it or find ingenious ways to make lots more. Some people seem to be very entrepreneurial. Are you?

If I was in my last tenner of my budget, I'd spend it on something I needed. If it was my last tenner and then I was going to be very broke, I would think about how I could make it go further, but I suspect I would never be rich, I'm not a natural entrepreneur, more a survivor.

I'm not at all entrepreneurial. Our daughter got do fed up of me saying I was going to put stuff on Vinted she took it all away and did it for me

If I was down to my last amount of money I'd spend it on what I needed.

Is there hope of more coming in?

I’ll buy 20 pairs of Primark knickers, rub my sweaty balls on em, sell them on as my wife’s used/worn panties.

A couple of Christmases ago the five of us, Jane, Me, and our three adult children, all put £20 into a game to see who could turn it into the most value by the following Christmas day.....

Our youngest daughter turned hers into £1900+ in that time by buying from Ali Express and reselling on Social Media sites.

It proved to me that most people could dig their way out of poverty if they really had to

I hear that said quite frequently but if you only had £20 you would need to spend it to feed yourself, there's no way you could wait to turn it into more. You need to have a *spare* amount of money and people in poverty don't

Excellent, I hope next day you gave her 1K and asked to bring back the 19K+ by the end of the week. But seriously, good for her.

Thats actually true and perhaps the post should have said if you had an extra tenner. I agree when people are struggling all they can do is to use what they have to make ends meet.

Many in "poverty" have the means, however small, to manage even the most meager finances better.

I've worked with CAB on a part time voluntary basis for several years helping folk who just need assistance in budgeting.

If mire people understood that we might display a little more empathy and compassion as a society. Possibly you need to live it to know it

I don't disagree but having been there and done that there are also those who don't have the means even after better budgeting

To a very small extend for sure. Certainly not like those politicians doing shows trying to show the less fortunate that they can live on a fiver all four of them in the family for a week. However this thread was a tongue and cheek thread about people who come up with ingenious ideas to make extra money so hopefully will focus on that "

I'd buy 2 baguettes and some foie gras. To stave off the hunger pains, I would eat one baguette and the foie gras. I'd freeze the other baguette until it was rock hard, then go out and find a rich guy. Then I would knock him out with aforementioned frozen baguette and steal his money.
