Had this on sertraline. Basically viagra

I spoke to my doctor and changed. Try speaking to them and say it’s affecting you in that way.

My ex is on it- absolutely killed her sex drive as well as making her put on weight (though it knocked her out too so she spent a lot of time asleep so her physical movement dropped too).

I'm on sertraline 200mg since 2015. My drive is ok at the moment but I can easily go off people in general so have to keep on top of that.

It doesn't do anything to my weight or my orgasms.

It affects everyone differently.

I couldn’t come when I was on sertraline a few years ago to manage anxiety. On the flip side, it really helped with my anxiety.

On a reasonably high dose and sometimes have the same with regards to cumming.

I’ll take that negative over the ridiculously low moods though.

May be worth speaking to GP if affecting you that bad though bud.

It’s a recognised side effect of SSRI antidepressants (in fact there is a super short acting version -dapoxetine - that’s licensed to treat premature ejaculation)

Chat with your GP, swapping to a different SSRI or possibly a different class of meds.

I take citalopram (amongst other things) and that doesn’t seem to affect me sexually so maybe worth trying?

Citalopram currently has the same effect as sertraline on me but admittedly I have just decided to appreciate that sex doesn’t always have to be about finishing and I’m always just upfront with people.

This is also a good point!
