I am looking to go away but can never seem to find a flight/resort or deal online, which is why I tend to book in store!

Any tips and advice on getting a good deal anywhere?

ps I am a solo traveller...

Travelsphere, Newmarket travel, Jules Vern, Titian, Explore are all companies I've used. Went to Marrakech last year with Travelsphere as a single traveller and can't wait to go again.

Check for single person supplement, some can be exhorbitant, but you have the security of a group but you can also explore independently should you wish.

Enjoy!

In my own little world

Try Travel Counsellors. They are really really good. You'll have an agent near you. They have access to more options than an online or 'normal travel agent'. Over 400 sites and airlines. They also have a financial protection package which is better than ABTA or ATOL. So if the travel company or airline goes out of business, you don't have to pay twice to go away, as they just either swap or find you another company who books at the same hotel.

I'm a lone traveller, and Claire got me a private taxi to and from the air port and centre of town location, so that I don't get ripped off and safer with taxis.

BTW if they can't beat on price, you'll get value elsewhere in the package.

Try Easy jet holidays, flights are better than using a tour op and prices are cheaper this way you can plan when you wnat to go and where to stay

I am hoping to go back to Lanzarote in September and can get a week all inclusive for about £375. That's booking the flights with Ryanair and the hotel directly through their website. Why pay a online company to put it all together for you?

Thanks for the info every one! I am bound by holidays at certain times due to the nature of my job... which makes it more expensive at times!

"just dont go with thomas cook. they are in deep deep trouble"

They are fully protected, so even if they do go bust your going to be ok.
