I hope this thread does not cause upset anyone. I lost my gorgeous dog short while ago and of course was cremated. I am at a loss what is the best to do with the ashes. I know people bury in the garden etc but as I may move at some point , I don't want to do that. It has been a big loss to me and still very upset and I want to do the right thing. Please be respectful with your posts back. I know some are not attached to their pets, don't have any or don't like them but this is important to me. Thank you.

I'm so sorry for your loss.. it's always difficult losing a loved pet. Did they have a favourite place to go? Somewhere you had fun with them ? Xx

I heard on the radio not so long ago of people having ashes put into bespoke jewellery, such as necklaces and rings, not sure if that is your cup of tea?

The dot in the i

When I lost my cat and had her cremated I got an urn and set up a small memorial with her toys and collar, when I move, she’ll come with

I’m sorry about your dog, it’s like losing a member of your family

Someone once told me, while grieving, thst the pain we feel from losing them won’t go so much as we get used to living with that pain, that missing part of your heart is theirs now, it’s how we carry them with us

Thank you. Yes had a couple of places. His favourite was at the cafe having outside breakfast with me but of course that's out The other one was at the seaside, loved that so perhaps that's an option.

Thank you. Yes a few so perhaps will pick one. I don't want anywhere that might be walked over etc. I only it may sound strange but want to be as respectful as I would be with any family or indeed anyone. x

North Angus

My two were cremated and spread up the hill where I took them often. Kept a couple of bits of bone (couldn’t get them out the box) trying to think what I could have them added to jewellery wise

You may wish to do what I did with the few hair strands. Sealed in a little silver box. If you rather something to wear then choices may be limited but as someone above said it can be done

I think you can get jewellery made or artwork or some such thing. Maybe have a look on Etsy, I know they do all sorts on there.
