Was just wondering, to be swinger and to be actually swinging does one not have to be a couple?

If it is, what are the singles on here :-/ and what would that be called when they play? X

And who do these couples play with when they seek a 'single' male or female to join them ? A swinging single perchance

I'm single and I swing....ergo....i am a single swinger.

But does it not mean to "swap" partners? If so then you should have a partner to swap and swing

...maybe the proper name should be 'A Swingle'?

I don't really consider myself a swinger, just a person looking for NSA fun with like-minded people via a swingers site and clubs.

Alternatively, I am a swingle, as in a swinging single, and I swing back to my normal life after using FAB and clubs to look for like-minded peeps for NSA fun.

probably was confusing the terms - swinging between normal and fab life makes sense swingle sounds cool!

Cheers x

Taken from wiki...

Swinging or (rarely) partner swapping is a non-monogamous behavior, in which singles or partners in a committed relationship engage in sexual activities with others as a recreational or social activity

Swinging is swinging from partner to partner, and swapping is swapping. You don't have to be in a couple to swing but you do to swap.

"

Well in that case - a committed relationship is required so singles are players (Looking for NSA) but not swingers :-/

Thou like the explination given above, swinging between this lifestyle and the more socially acceptable family work etc

Read it properly. Singles OR people in a relationship. It does not imply the singles have to be in a relationship. Single is solitary in it's definition

Before I came on fab I'd always thought to be a swinger one had to be in a relationship where both played with other couples , with complete knowledge and acceptance of what each person was doing.

I don't class myself as a swinger but since being on fab I've noticed a lot of singles do class themselves as swingers.

I suppose they do swing from one couple to another or other singles so I guess they are swingers to.

If everyones happy does it matter

Gosport

The only dictionary definition pertinent to this site that I could find was from the Dictionary of American Slang so as Brits can anyone be a swinger?

The definition given there is 'to be involved in sexual fads, group sex, or the swapping of sexual partners' which could certainly include singles.

Guernsey

Just to play devils advocate

So a single guy/woman joins fabs or any other site, and is only looking for single guys/women and meets them, so they are called swingers/swingles lol.

A guy/woman goes down the town on a Friday/Saturday night and picks up a man/woman and takes them back to his/her place for fun and leaves after the fun, to go back out the following weekend to pick up another man/woman what are they called.

Surely its the same thing whether you are on a site or not, so does that make all the people having fun on a weekend swingers???

I think it does... But good point raised by above post :-/ what actually makes/classifies/ labels someone a swinger/swingle ? X
