Was the money spent on the Coronation worth it

I dont for how many watched it here in the Uk and rest of the world

Think folk havnt forgive our new king for what happed to Diana

Think Prince Andrew least said about that

As For Harry he will not shut up

Now To Megan dont go there with me what a player she is

A lot of Damage has happened to the Royal family in the last 50 years

Like all the divorces for another

All I can say is that the Queen never shamed any of us

going to open this up what do folk think?

Of course… historically the royals of every nation have always gotten along perfectly and have never been underhanded in any way.

The last 50 years is truly shocking.

Kind regards.

Disgusted from the midlands.

here & there

In the grand scheme of things it cost very little, having the pomp & ceremony seen around the world will only bring more tourists into the U.K. spending their money in shops/restaurants/attractions, given the weak pound that in turn will only encourage more visitors.

While I’m not fully on board with everything the royal family do, the senior members carry a valuable role in peoples lives & promote this country in a very positive way.

Don't know but the figures quoted in the press won't ring true, all of the military on parade there will of been paid regardless so can't completely factor in their pay.

Personally I don't really get the whole Royal thing (or celebs) as they're just people like the rest of us but wouldn't campaign to abolish them as many enjoy it and hold them in awe.

Astonishing to me is the people like the Beckhams in the press & more so their kids now becoming celebs for absolutely no reason.

Was it worth it?

I looked at the huge wealth held by the monarchy and the church, watched as the general public lined up to cheer and celebrate, protesters were moved off the streets and thought that nothing has changed in 500 years.

It was surely worth it to the church, state and royal family. The gain to the rest of us is minimal if there's any at all
