Yes, glad to see someone else got hit hard by brandy. I thought it might have only been me.

I got ratted to the point of throwing up, on brandy. I was at a party and I think I must have consumed a bottle in about two/ three hours, blinkety flip I was I’ll… to be fair I would have been ok but they were filling my glass up and encouraging me to drink!

Absinthe. early 20's was in Kos for a week and we started in the same bar every night, and did unique shots (think it was called the Kings arms).

So last proper night out comes around, me and 1 of the other guys decide to do all of thier shots, but with absinthe. It was a terrible idea, I ended up in bed very early hallucinating that marks on the walls were massive spiders, Leprechauns where running round the room, jumping on the beds and smashing into door. My roomy came in in the early hours to find sleeping in my clothes and trainers, up the wrong end on the bed, no pillow, but with the pillow case over my head. Initially he thought I was dead.

Could I maybe just get you a coffee then....? "

I love coffee. I do drink it but I did get messed up on it once a long time ago , I had an assignment to hand in, I’d already had an extension. I stayed up all night taking pro plus and drinking strong coffee. Ended up throwing my guts up, falling asleep at 7am and missing the bloody deadline

There’s been a few I said at the time I wouldn’t return to such as Southern Comfort and red wine but the only one I have not revisited is Blue Bolls, ruined my Christmas Day when I was 17, still remember it now

Cherry Brandy…mere mention of it invokes panic-induced flashbacks to Yates circa 1991

Reading

Over many years . There are now drinks I avoid due to perhaps overindulgence

Whiskey .

Gin.

Southern Comfort

Korn. Never ever again . Thought I was drinking vodka . The version of korn I was drinking was 80% . I was given shot glasses. Thinking it was vodka. Christ my throat was on fire and not allowed to drink water . Found out once part recovered . Water made worse. So drink beer . Which people I was with were doing.

I can drink red, white wine, dark rum , white rum , vodka and yes a bit hangover but not feel really bad . As listed above drinks. Which I now will not drink

Jack Daniels. I'd fight with my fingernails on it.

Jim Beam almost as bad as it's easier to drink lots of and become an utter gobshite!

Gave them up and if I drink whiskey now, has to be expensive single malt, which I drink slowly and appreciate. Glenmorangie
