Hi Guys,

We have a very bad leak in our outhouse, and because the ice under the snow is starting to melt its getting worse as the minutes go on, its my mams house, and we are renting off her. She has arranged for someone to come and bitumen it, but can this be done in this weather? is it possible for him so sweep the snow off and do it? its pissing me ff soemthing terrible, my mam has just said put towels and black bags everywhere, but the dryer is out there, as well as 2 lights!

You can get paint that is ok to use in any weather.

Just cover the whole thing and jobs done, even underwater.

yep should be able to scrape snow off and put warm bitumen on, might do a temp fix until weather has warmed up and do proper job then. hope that helps

Exeter

if it is a leak in the ROOF, you are not specific, the classic cheapo cure was bung a load of sawdust up there, it swells and seals the leak and then stuff grows on it so it stays put.

If they do it properly it can be done in any weather because they blow torch the stuff on , so they'll dry the roof first , then lay the tar hope that helps x

its an outhouse, so like an added room type of thing with a flat roof, and apprently reinforced concrete

What the guy will do is shift the snow ice and blow torch the roof dry and fix the roof, repairs can be done in this weather, doing a whole roof is a different matter.
