What do people look for in a first message or do they go straight to the pictures. For me I read the profile. If I like what I read then what they look like plays a little part. I get some people go on looks alone ifthsts the case why write a profile... thoughts.

The point of the profile should be to say what you're into and what you're looking for.

I look at ages and sexual preferences, if tall enough and straight (male because that's mainly the messages we get) I ll look at photos then read bio... if matches I ll message back

I look at location and then the pics ,then profile text...

If they're miles away and/or have no pics its a delete.

If its a decent profile & i like the pics i'll read the message .

I go straight to the profile, pics, location and bio.

1st messages don't have to be anything special for us it's whether we like the look of the profile enough to reply.

I don't mind too much what's in the first message to me, as I understand it's not always easy to know what to say in a message especially if someone is new. So I'll always read it, read the profile, check location and then photos. Generally check verifications too if they're displayed. I'll usually reply even if it's just to say no thank you, but I'm not bombarded like women and couples so it's easy!
