Does anyone use the private notes function on Fab?

We tend to use it to add the word "mute" on messages we send and they get read and not replied.

I do. Mostly for forum people as I don’t block forum people. Also because my memory is crap I use it for real names and to remind me of stuff.

Mute why would you put that? I use mine to make a note of a name or if I've sent a face pic and not received one in return or if i think profiles dubious etc

All over

Good tactic but it's the ones that are read but still kept unread for ever that are the irritating ones.

No, I just block people.

I don't need more work to add to my life. If I genuinly like someone, which is actualy rare, then I take an actual interest in them.

Yes we use it a lot, handy for future reference. People are sometimes amazed at our memory of previous conversations...well now you know the secret.

Yup we do. Negative status updates and stuff they let slip in the forums (playing away from home etc) go in there. Quite handy

No. Why would anyone need it ?

Social interaction generally remains in my brain and not just the extraordinary ones.

I'd never make notes in the pub, club, cinema, supermarket or anywhere else so why here ?

Though I never use the block........... I did wonder why people don't block instead of making notes.... what a labour !

Down the back of the sofa.

Yes, it’s handy if people change username, or radically change the vibe of their profile, or if you’ve seen faces and decided they’re not for you, saved an embarrassing interaction.

We rate them out of 10 on different things. An example.. "Likely to have sex with us" - so for Nora I've put 2 because she's a classy woman whereas someone like Rex I've put 10.

Another example is "Funny" - Nora and Rex both rank about 8.

I take an average and if I feel like we have a good shot I then message for a fuck.

I dont normally use it because its pointless, if you're in a club it's not like you are going to check someone's profile before engaging in fun.

It's a great filter creating your own platform surrounding yourself around positive as well

I only discovered this function fairly recently.

I use it for names of people I’m chatting to (as I’m awful at remembering them!). I don’t think it could be arsed to use if for anything more detailed.

Yup - always positive. It’s hard to keep track of who’s who. Especially when they don’t have photos on their main profile.

So if someone sends one in a message, and they’re hot, I’ll add a note to remind myself at a later date.

Yes, real names, how we've met and whether we would want to again, the vibe we got from them.

Mr writes them and I find them invaluable as sometimes I'd forget my head..

An Environmental Information Request is harder to turn down, suggest using that, and when the Mods do refuse it, well take it all the way to the Information Commissioner - no doubt they will uphold it as this is valuable information that should be in the public arena

It’s very rare I need to use it but have done.

I also get the whole message read and not responded to or deleted thing. Surely it’s a one second action to just delete the message. My OCD can’t deal with a messy inbox. (Who am I kidding, it’s never been bad enough to worry about! Haha)
