As we (or scientists) look back on the past century and discuss how awful some of the supposedly great things of the time were for us, what, do you think we do or use now that people in 10,20 or 50 years time will scoff at or feel quite sad about?

Alchohol, cigarettes, vapes, petrol, diesel, The BBC, news networks (that are biased), maybe even mobile phones

In 100 years I think people will be aghast at the high calorie, low nutrition food that can be obtained without moving further than sofa to front door and back. How it was presented to us as a good thing and adverts showed people eating it with their feet on the table as if it was a good thing. Then followed up with adverts for Slimfast

Biased news networks will always be with us. Mobile phones will be replaced with something different but the principle will still exist.

Identification cards.

Humans will be chipping in the womb so they will always be tracked, monitored and controlled.

No Ids needed as you'll pass scanning zones everywhere.

Free for all, bulk building of apartments/offices with little consideration for long term aesthetic or sustainability. Soulless hubs that could be psychologically damaging long term.

Forms which require absolutes....

Race

Gender

Framed stationery pics and physical momentous..

Digital picture frames

Digital greeting cards

Everything will be recyclable or frowned upon if not

Single occupancy

Things will be more communal

Ride share, car pools, house shares or become heavy fined/taxed.

Bigger gap between the rich poor/ have have nots this will be disguised as environmental and non environmental to try to put a stigma on not being "aware"

Vapes

Junk food - inc artificial sweetener which we are starting to learn isn’t as healthy as we thought

AI

Televisions at least as they are now - I don’t own one now and I think they’ll soon phase out as we can easily watch either live tv or streaming on computers, tablets & phones

Landline phones - they’ve hung around longer than I thought they would I’ve not had one for years.

Household broadband/Wi-Fi - surely it can only be a matter of time until we have a national network? We’re a small country should have been sorted before now in my opinion.

Needle based vaccination delivery - jet injections the norm soon hopefully.

I just cant see us having 50 let alone 100 years, and haven't for years.

It's war ultimately, on top of general pestilence and science (with it's own social gap) gradually leaving society behind. Too many people get more excited by war than they do sex, and that's where more and more money and resources will have to go.

The cancer of extreme nationalism will finally do the domino for us all i fear, especially as people migrate northerly over climate issues and the cynics shout why wasn't more done?

And Musk won't ever get to Mars etc, it's already too late for that.

Happy bank holiday everyone! I'm off to lidls to buy some salmon.

The Town by The Cross

People will find it unbelievable that people talked in genders or looked for a certain gender to orgasm with.

They will find it even more ridiculous that men used to shove their cocks into something called a vag and rock back n forth to get a thrill.

They will be speechless that people didn't speak about sex with people they knew well but had to , instead, go on a communication device known as the internet and pretend to be dead sexy and sex mad and look for someone to bump uglies with .

Sex in the future will be thrill machines on every street corner or in every home and orgasm will be reached simply by transferring your thoughts into the machine which uses those thoughts to transmit back a huge orgasmic wave leaving you trembling in every orifice....

At a price.........

Should be banned now and are in some countries. Cancer the longer term effect but they’re horrific for the heart too. I wouldn’t let my daughter have them, she drinks them as an adult sometimes unfortunately I never drink them!

I think/hope caffeine will also be phased out as that’s a lot more harmful and addictive than many realise too.

The ease in which they're bought and the volume in which a few guys at school used to consume before the first lesson must surely have long term effects in some form.

Self esteem initiatives. The people who needed them saw right through them, and those who didn't grew up to think their half baked thoughts while having a shit are more valid than those of genuine subject experts

people will look back and wonder how we worked.

they will have a living wage provided by the state. so there will be no need for a women to seek a man build a family with him as she will have all the money provided.

and because the man has no responsibility he will act reckless and become a danger.

roughly 20 million people will be replaced and be living lives much shorter through inactivity, lazy lifestyles, poor food and no work.

living payments will have to include a clause that means everyone on them will have to attend a 1 hour gym session per week to get people out of the house and mental health sessions to keep an eye on possible suicides as most will feel they have nothing to live for.

google and apple will be in direct communication with health services and governments to track people who are unwell and at risk.

google will demonstrate that the atlas one robot project can run at over 30 miles an hour constantly.

can identify criminals with its cameras accessing the police and fbi databases.

will be able to perform traffic duties and fire a gun.

google will announce a contract agreement with chicago to place robots in high crime areas with a shot to kill policy.

after its success this will become nationwide and policing will be done instantly.
