Ok so I know its not a Thursday but I'm going to rant.

Why oh why have bbc1 decided we need a snow program?

Yes it snowed - it has every year for the last 6 years.

Yes its been heavy for the UK - but not compared to other countries.

But ffs lets just clear the roads, be it a council or highways agency. And not give us another excuse when our economy shrinks atthe end of the quarter.

Rant over.

Because the snow hit the south of england which is unheard of and probably the beginning of the end of the world.....it wouldnt even get a mention on news if it was snowing up here ....which it isnt by the way

It is because the BBC loves any form of climate change , too hot , too cold , too snowy , too icy , too windy , you get the idea .

As long as the global warming panic wagon still has a wheel to limp along on they will get the vapours about anything out if the ordinary .

But it's nice. I love watching some pillock reporting on the snow who feels it has a much better impact to actually go out in the snow to report on it. And here's me all snug n warm in my too fookin tight boxer shorts (read yesterday's threads to see why).

Nowhere near as hard or fast as it did today. I have certainly never seen as much snow in one day in my life as I did today. And we certainly haven't had snow every year for the last 6 years The only significant snowfalls we've had here in the West Country have been 2 in the last 4 years.

What you must appreciate is that, yes it snows in Scotland and up North - frequently. And yes, it snows in Europe & Canada. But they are used to it and have the infrastructure to support it. We don't as we rarely get anything like this.

Because its cheap TV.

Its just the public entertaining themselves and paying a licence fee for the privilege.

The One Show - Nationwide for the X-Factor generation.

I want to opt out of the licence fee when they churn out shit like that when most of the nation is housebound due to the weather.

I mean, the BBC isn't even in the bloody south any more - they moved to Salford and canned Television Centre.

sat in the airport with not many flights going anywhere ..hoping our 8.30 flight will eventually leave. baffles me how many people fall asleep in airports !!!
