I’m a big fan of Cockney rhyming slang but honestly don’t seem to use it enough in conversation. And can never remember half of them.

I’d like to incorporate more into my language, more for informal conversations, maybe with a tradesman doing some work on my house or down the rub-a-dub dub with chums.

Do you have a favourite Cockney rhyming slang saying that you like to use - if so this thread is for you! Please share your best!

P.S. my current favourite is ‘Alan Whickers’ for knickers. I always want to casually say with a naughty glint in my eye ‘take ya Alan’s off’ to a someone on a meet. But have yet to do so as feel it might go over their head (the phrase not the actual Alan’s) and / or kill the mood.

One that took me ages to figure out was Derby. I knew it was belly, but was thinking of all sorts. Turns out it's Derby Kelly who apparently was a dancer

I’m in a bit of Barney Rubble. Spent the afternoon enjoying the currant bun at my local battle cruiser with my bricks and mortar. Got a bit Brahms and Liszt. Ended up falling flat on my Khyber Pass. Now I’m Hank Marvin but spent all my bread and honey. Just hope I make it home before I pony and trap myself
