GPs charge these days. But the countersign list is fairly long now. Depending on if you work & were, most managers can do it. It's actually pretty flexible if you 'know', someone within the professional list... Obviously if they agree

That’s the issue I’m self employed and don’t know anyone with a job that can counter sign it… I’d much rather try to find someone than wait for a doctor

Do you not have to have known the person applying for at least two years in order to be their countersignatory?

Not any more - you just have to meet certain criteria (eg company director, lawyer, doctor)

Yes, but OP is clearly desperate. Hopefully not enough to go along with an absolute randomer online though

OP, the list is pretty vast. But they do random spot checks. Just throw it out on your FB.. Someone will step up

Pretty much anyone you've known for years who isn't a criminal can sign it.
