What's a work colleague?

Back in the time when I had such, I would have been very cautious about doing so. I may actually have had the chance when travelling with a colleague from another division, but what may have been a flirt from her may equally not have been and it could have been tricky had that gone wrong...

People are people at the end of the day. I would not go to work and see it as a chance to fuck someone, however shit happens, chemistry is real and timing is everything. In some environments you get to know your colleagues more than you should. Good question, no right or wrong for me

Southampton/isle of wight/ everywhere

I did a few years ago with a couple of different work colleagues. It was all outside of the workplace though. When you work in a stressful and demanding role like I used to, you build up closeness to colleagues very intensely. And when you socialise with colleagues outside work, it’s easy to let it happen. That was 15 years ago in a totally different role to what I do now. Nowadays, it’s actually specifically written in to work policy that no relationships between colleagues, clients etc.

I wouldn't rule it out, as long as I was pretty certain they weren't an asshole or a gossip.

It's happened in the past.

Yeah, I’ve done it in the past too. She was great about it though. Gave me a massive hug the next morning and said “This isn’t going to be weird. We’re good. Aren’t we? Yeah. We’re good.” And walked off to her desk. And we *were* good. Still mates now, 20 years later.

I have a couple of times but I’ve learnt my lesson now because if it goes wrong you still have to see that person nearly every day and it can get quit awkward

No, it isn't worth the drama I could potentially create but I had many opportunities One guy from work is constantly trying but it gives me sometimes ick. He got a wife.

if you were working for me and having a relationship in the work place i would bring you both into a meeting.

ask if the rumours are true. and if they were i would tell you both that at the first sign of trouble or arguments that may or not involve others in the workplace one or both of you will be suspended and possibly fired.

your here to work, not fuck around and potentially ruin a good working environment.

Most of us spend the majority of our waking lives at work. Of course relationships start there.

We're married and we work together. I worked there first and Mr joined me 5 years later. Anyone trying to discipline us for being married - yeah, good luck, pal

It's not about being married it's about people who play around at work.

It cause problems and can lead to someone resigning when or if the relationship breaks up and everyone is talking about it.

People take out law suits against employers for failing to protect them from innuendo and they make alsorts of demands like requesting a move of position away from what they are employed to do, demanding the employer transfers out the other party as it's contributed to a health problem.

These are real things that happen so telling me to chill etc show a complete lack of idea how disruption screwing your work colleagues cause.

It's devastates women more than men and companies get sued for failing to deal with her sensitivity immediately.

It's bad behaviour unprofessional full stop.
