Manchester-ish

Lucozade sport (or discount supermarket equivalent) and time.

Although, last weekend I drank more than enough for a severe hangover, but also tried a can of ginger cbd drink during the evening, and woke up fresh as a 48 year old man. Could be a coincidence or a new secret cure.

The best cure is prevention. I have hardly any. What works for me is a filling meal before a night out. Not mixing different alcohol and I always sip a pint of water with any alcohol I get. Honestly, it works.

But if I slip off my routine, I tend to drink first an orange juice and then water and more water. After I eat bacon&egg muffin and move plenty. Moving helps me to shake it off.

As I get older they get worse. I can go to bed fine at 1am after 2 bottles of wine or 5-6 pints and wake up at 5 or 6am with a headache from hell and vomiting for half a day unable to eat and literally lose 1-2 days I’m so bad. I think I developed some kind of allergy to alcohol

The last drink in the pub should be a pint of water, and then definitely take some time at home to sit quietly and drink another pint of water before you go to bed. Take paracetamol before sleeping and as soon as you wake up. The difference between drinking water and not drinking water is staggering! I spent many years really limiting how much I drank on a night out because I have terrible hangovers, but since learning the water trick, I can relax a bit more, these days.
