So having read the recent threads "are men better at giving blow jobs than women" and "can women give a good hand job" has prompted me to ask, if your partner wasn't happy with your technique in bed would you want them to tell you and if so how?

Are men more likely to take this badly or are women more likely?

Always open to advice, so long as they do it tactfully.

It all depends again (sorry to be that person) for me i like to get to know someone before anything develops so i would think that it shouldnt be too big of a issue as we are on the same page.

Never had a issue before with either men or women

Why wouldn't couples tell each other what they like and what the their partner is doing wrong.

Considering how many women reckon they're the best at blow jobs as this what they've been told, I've come to the conclusion men are scared to tell the truth.

Carlisle usually

Generally if someone isn't interpreting my reactions and body language to know what's working and what isn't, there's not much point talking to them about it, just wouldn't meet them again

Tonypandy.

I always ask people to show me how they like being touched, as well as trying to read body language.

I'm quite verbal in bed (and everywhere else) so I will quite happily tell someone how I feel, or ask them to touch me in a certain way. They always seem happy to oblige and seems to help them open up to what they like.

Most of the times I’ll show her how it’s done while she is doing a hand job .

While bf I controls the pace and angles by holding her head and speaking to her

Everybody is different about what they like, how the want to progress, etc, so I always encourage a partner to tell me what works best for them.

Their pleasure is just as important as mine.

It's like anything any criticism has to be constructive and be told in a way that doesn't hurt their feelings etc. I would absolutely want to be told or at least directed with how they wanted something.

This totally depends on the partner. For instance if it would really tear the partner up to know they were not "doing very well" at it (maybe a long term partner, husband wife), then I would keep quiet, but if on the other hand the relationship was all about the sex then yes speak up and both tell what what they want and what pleases or not. Men definitely give better head as they know what a guy feels, as for a hand job well that can be good or bad depending on the person but again I would prefer a guy. And only once have I said to a sex partner that it was uncomfortable to the point of making me sore was a girl giving me head while a friend was fucking her and she kept grating my cock with her teeth, a definite no no. But that again dependent on a persons wishes I had a couple of sessions with a guy , good sessions but he wanted me to literally bite as hard as possible on his nipples, he loved it I was miffed and to be honest scared of doing damage or going too far.
