what could it be?

Woke up yesterday with swollen and painful neck on the left. It's behind my ear and today the pain has spread to my jaw. Mum said it could be mumps but I'm sure I'd feel worse if it was. Then I thought maybe a tooth abcess but had a look, have a small ulcer but tthat's it. So painful!

It could still be an abscess. Contact your dentist as well as a doctor's appointment.

Try NHS direct for some advice just a thought but paracetamol 2 tabs every 4 hours alternate 2 hourly with brufin 2 tabs every 4 hours hope this helps Hun x

I thought this too, as far as I know I haven't got them yet.

Just been doctors he said my glands are swollen and that he thinks it's more viral, I have a fever so he's said just to treat the fever and if it's still swollen in a week I have to go for a blood test, oh and I'm overweight what a revelation!!
