And what does going to state of tha art gyms taking any kind of supplements not enhance nature sorry but at end of the day he still dedicated his life to cycling !!! It's just unfortunate he got caught there's plenty more at it too is any one naive enough to believe that no one cheats in some ways nothing is just for the fun and the admiration any more its all about the money and fame it's a horrible world we live in but hey ho it's history who gives a fuck really not me there's plenty more things I think are news

What a load of publicist, media driven bollocks that 'interview' was. He got a soft ride in my opinion, stand up in a courtroom and admit to the fullest extent if what you used Lance.

Unfortunately, there are always gonna drug cheats in sports. The more that the doping agencies find ways of catching them, the more sophisticated the ways are of hiding. Alternatively, they can do what Rio Ferdinand did and not turn up for the tests as you 'forgot' about them.

Personally I think all drugs cheats should be banned from all sports for life.

Its all bollocks no doubt the cheating bastard got paid for oprah show.

He can be no hero to any fair minded folk he only coming clean to make money i am sick of folk like him who get caught then pretend they are contrite if not caught he would have carried on.

Admission, yes. Remorse, not a pip.

He has achieved fame and publicity through cheating. How many nearly winners are there who did not quite get there and so missed out on the financial rewards of success and fame. They were prevented from doing so by a drugs cheat.

They live on in anonymity whilst he still benefits from his cheating ways by courting publicity and the continuity of the Lance Armstrong brand.

He allegedly said to the wife of a guy who was going to testify against him - "Run, ... Don't walk" putting her in fear of her and her husbands life.

well. He was right in sayin it created a level. When the ripples spread it will unearth others. The medics that test have to have had some thick brown envelopes.

lance did what he did in an era of doping.to be competitive you had to do it.

if he has had his wins taken off him what about all the other dozens of winners of the tour, giro and vuelta plus all the other classics.

pantanni's record on the alpe should be taken from him.

indurain is a national hero in spain,he also needs the lance treatment.

cyclings history of drugs is the same as bodybuilding,to compete in the big comps you needed it.

cycling is changing now and people need to look at the future, not dwell on the history of cycling

He didn't look that sorry for what he has done. The level playing field mentality because he has had cancer says a lot.

"He didn't look that sorry for what he has done. The level playing field mentality because he has had cancer says a lot. "

You know, taking nothing away from his whole battle with cancer and the good / awareness it raised - but I wonder if all the performance enhancers and testosterone may have caused it?

I wonder if that ever crosses his mind?

That's actually why his cancer took so long to diagnose. They couldn't get a clear enough test as he still had various other 'substances' in his system...

I've not time for apologists who are only sorry after they've been caught. If he was that sorry he wouldn't have cheated his fellow competitors out of a place in the history books and the millions of dollars he won as a result of cheating his way to 7 consecutive Tour de France wins.

Cancer or not, he's slime.

He did'nt 'have' to do it, he chose to do so..

it matters not a jot that many others are cheating if you value your own morals..

he is tainted as a person..

saying 'thats the way it was etc' so they all did it is a cop out..

how many think its equally ok to sell class a drugs, molest children, rape or steal..?

how many tell our kids, dont work to achieve..just cheat, lie and deceive your way through life..?

others do so yes, but surely as an individual we have our own moral compass..

lots of people stood up against him, they're the brave ones..

they're the ones who deserve the plaudits..

armstrong deserves worldwide contempt from all decent people..

no excuses, no 'oh well it was because x,y or z'..

he should be a man and spill the beans totally on everyone involved..

but he's a coward so doubt it..

"Is he going to pay back the money he won when he sued people that we now know told the truth. I doubt it. "

And that is going to be his downfall. Anyone remember the MP Sheridan and what he did. If I was on the losing end of a case against Armstrong I'd be beating a path to my solicitors to get the scumbag back in court for perjury and defamation.

"indurain has never been talked about;

There are 2 big differences between him and LA. Indurain is Spanish and he was a genuinely humble guy who didn't piss off pretty much the entire world of cycling.

I think it is disappointing that a person who has consequently denied the use of illegal substances goes out on the 'big stage' to admit his wrong doings ..

.. I don't think he deserves any more publicity - being forgotten would probably be the biggest punishment.

On the other hand, how many 'normal' people can ride a bike round e.g. France during 3 weeks without being 'high' on at least coffee?

Either way, controversial person, case - one thing is certain, this will be milked by the media

Lala is a thug. A bully who used his position at the top of the sport to intimidate those who opposed him and destroyed the careers of those who wouldn't toe the line.

the Italian rider Filippo Simeoni was called a liar by Lala after he came clean about being doped by Ferrari, who was also Lala's doctor.

Simeoni was abused, threatened and spat at by the rest of the peloton after Armstrong told him to 'zip his lips'.

Such a nice chap.

The sport has been "changing" since Festina. The sport has been changing since "Puerto". And the sport is no cleaner now than it was then.
