How long is too long

and how soon is now?

When someone says that they will be there soon how long would you expect them to be and when would you get a bit peed off.

Like when I tell the Mr I will be ready in a sec, what I really mean is about half an hour and he's standing in the hallway with his jacket on.

Have a great day all.

Did anyone else start singing?

Just shut ya mouth

How can you say

You go about things the right way

I am human and I need to be loved

Just, like, everbody else does..

In an Ideal world it may work, not in mine though I can't give the Mr an exact time, it would make it worse, as I'm probably going to be late.

.

Soon? No more than twenty minutes.

Ideally less than ten.

Why not just say I'll be half a hour, OP, I want to faff around a bit first.

Can't commit to that, being 38 my face is very unpredictable.

I have hate keeping people waiting so always will be on time unless dire emergency. On flip side I hate waiting if 10 minutes or so passes of waiting for someone and I hear nothing by text saying I’ll be late I’ll usually just leave

As the Welsh say "I'll be there now in a minute" your guess is as good as mine as to the duration of time that will pass until they are there

Same with West Country folk and "dreckly".

Could be a minute, could be ten, could be 6 years...

Carlisle usually

Once we're past 8" it gets risky for sure.

Um, I tend to edit my idea of how long is too long and what's just a minute by the person I'm dealing with. Once I know to expect someone's just a minute as 2 minutes or an hour and a half I don't mind.

Soon - within an hour definitely. Probably half an hour, more like.
