What was the best thread you ever posted?

And why was it the best?

Inspired by the why don't you give it a go and start thread. I thought about what I'd posted over the years and which one I enjoyed the most.

The best one I ever posted made me laugh a lot. And challenged me a bit with another fabber giving me a good run on it.

So what's yours?

I'm hoping to create some positivity in your minds about posting threads with this. There must be one that stands out?

I'm not sure, I liked one I created about cold chocolate buttons being amazing as it was pretty divisive in the most whimsical way and I just loved how silly it was

I loved doing the Taskmaster thread with Joe!

And I really enjoyed your Fab HQ thread PW. Some very funny replies in that.

I can't even remember what threads I've made in the last 24 hours.

I'm guessing it would be one from last year though when I was a lot less bitchy.

That Taskmaster thread was awesome! Everyone was brilliant but it was also probably he most effort I've put into a thread

I really liked one I did about scars. How people got them. The stories were fascinating.

I also laughed loads doing a forum register. I've done that twice when the lounge was quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the strict naughty schoolmistress

Manchester (he/him)

The best ones I’ve posted tend to be the ones that I repeat, some have been ‘borrowed’ by others, some I pop back up.

I’ve started a lot of threads through the years though and the discussions that have come from them have often been enlightening, sometimes frustrating.

I don’t really post the deep thinky ones at the moment because people tend not to discuss anymore, which makes me a little sad.

I guess I haven’t really answered your question, OP!

Many years ago I used to a forums awards every new year. They where simple and great fun everyone used to join in and they where the highlight of the year.

Then femme took over doing them. Then one year someone randomly took it upon themselves to do them and all the bitchiness and politics started and they where never the same again which is a shame.

You can still find the early ones in the archives

"The Department of Petty Rage.

Why did I miss this gloriousness? Damn it.

There have been a few threads I've really enjoyed. One was about when you're fucking someone and you can see their quim cling to the cock as you pull out/with every thrust. That was hot. Plus it was the first thread a dear friend and I interacted on.

I liked the matchmaking one I did during lockdown. It was a good laugh, gave me something to do during a tipsy night in.

And then there was one I did recently when I needed distractions as I was sitting in a hospital room waiting to find out my test results. I felt really sick with nerves, things weren't great with someone dear to me. But people really stepped up. I could just forget what was going on and reply to silliness. Meant a lot.

Many moons ago I did a series of "Guess who I am?" threads over a few days

You know the ones where you can only answer yes or no to the questions asked...

They were very popular, apart from with one of the then mods who was on patrol that week and found it hard to keep on top of them

I remember some award ones done when I first joined. Like best male photos and things like that. Don't see them anymore. But they got some negativity.

It was, not so surprisingly (!), my very first Handbag thread. I wasn't new to the fora in regards to posting comments, but relatively new-ish to creating my own threads. I was really surprised and humbled at how well it was received: people - women mostly - were delighted to share their 'bag details', both positive and negative and with jocularity and light-hearted mocking.

Sadly, quite a few participants have now gone UNLOS.

Yeah I think they were denounced for cliqueyness

I won an "award" one year too, which I think was "person you would be most happy to be stuck on a desert island with" (or something similar)

To do this day I am unsure if that was a compliment or an insult

I think it was a thread I created under my MissDreavus persona asking for ideas about things to do while you wait for the kettle to boil...was interesting and loved the creative ideas

And to satisfy my anthropological interest I used to do an 'All about you' thread where people shared their news, or whatever they wanted to share because it was all about you they were quite popular

Can I also say that the strappy body harness thingie you’re wearing in the profile picture needs a round of applause and serious recognition of maximum effort.

Note people: those straps are all adjustable. The time taken to achieve optimal tension on each piece… amazing.

Worth it though. We salute you.

I've probably started 100 threads over the years. Only one of them has ever had more than 30 replies and only 2 have gone over the 20 reply mark so none of them could be classed as successful.

The most popular was about Manflu.
