2 crane drivers apparently cornicing to the bbc at lunch time. What are the odds of both operatives being late?

Tragic loss of life - all life which is over before its well and truly spent is a tragic loss.

I mean when you stop to think of the mathematical chance / probability at work in that one incident, it makes you realise that fate is a random number generator in a dark room.

People moan about the odds on the lottery. Take the odds that that crane driver was late to work for the first time in his life on that very morning.

Or that a car driver waited 5 seconds to allow someone to pull out, thereby being 5 seconds late and missing the falling wreckage landing on his car.

The odds are phenomenal. Life is built on random chance every day from the moment you're born to moment you die.

This weekend I'm buying a lottery ticket and will be extra vigilant for ninja attacks. Because both are as random as each other.
