for me when i was filling my profile out and was thinking what ages i would meet i thought late 20s to mid 40s, thats why my profile says 28 to 45, i get a few guys just under 28 mailing me saying they are only a couple of years under and a couple of years dont matter, so if i put 25 would i be getting 22/23 years olds saying the same? to me thats just to young so i stick with late 20s which to me is 28/29

I closed my eyes with the slider in the 40's and clicked

Nah Its set like that to keep my friends within my age range

As they and I age, the age range does too

If you have "friend" when they drop out the age range does that stop them contacting You?

I never really cared about upeer age to be honest - I think I set them up because its considered bad form just to have the defaults.

Gosh no, they are real life friends, and text me or tell me when we are sat drinking coffee etc,

But then as I said my age range moves up with me

As a single girl, looking to use my filters to the max, I decided a nice small age range was for me

Exactly you have to draw the line somewhere. Happens with the over limit too.

no matter

I havent found my age filters have made any difference to the ages of people contacting me from 18 through to 70.

In reality it doesnt matter as im not meeting them anyway ..It is their time they wasting after all.

If you were asking about your own friends list they will always be able to contact you despite age.

I plucked two numbers out of the air, multiplied them by 2.7 then worked out the square roots of the resulting numbers. That left me with 9 and 16, so I tried again, and came up with 82 and 83. So then I put some thought into it, and decided I don't care about ages.

So there.

Derby/Notts(Long Eaton)

I use to be ageist but in the non fab world I have had relationships with a 22year old ...was married to someone 15 years younger and have great relationship with someone 10 years older. All of them had different attributes that youth and maturity pull in different directions.

As I still act as though I am 20 years my junior in mind and body and mix with my adult children's friends as easily as work colleagues of all ages I have learnt that age is not really a good measure of who's company will be mutually rewarding.

I struggled too as I had 40-55 then decided to trial 37 - 55, an idiot from up north at 37 put me off the idea so went back up a year. Not sure why, just think its about what feels comfortable, anything below 36 really doesn't

No it doesn't as once you have exchanged messages with someone outside your age range or someone who then becomes outside your age range, they can still send you a message
