Odd cold remedies

We both have stinkung colds which got us wondering what is the strangest cold remedy you heard of.

Whiskey in milk was advice given to me as a young lad.

We both have stinkung colds which got us wondering what is the strangest cold remedy you heard of.

Whiskey in milk was advice given to me as a young lad.

The best one can do is alleviate the discomfort, and the following definitely works for me. Lem sip dissolved in hot water, add shot of Brandy, lemon juice and honey, sip slowly and breathe in the steam up your nose. You can add one paracetamol, but I would suggest only one as the Lem sip already has paracetamol in it, and this lowers your temperature.

My Nan and gramp swore by hot milk, whiskey & honey.

It certainly makes you sweat.

My gramp also swore by gargling with diluted TCP for a sore throat.

Forget the milk and just have the whiskey.

I detest whisky, but a nice brandy in hot water with lemon and honey and a couple of paracetamol.

If that does not work quick enough quaff half a bottle of the brandy, it won't help cure the cold but you'll be so pissed you won't give a fuck.
