Where ever to relocate too you will still have to learn the dialect and the accent, I’d say the worst places are Newcastle, Yorkshire, Liverpool, Cornwall, Devon, and most parts of Scotland especially the Highlands.

Best for what ? I’ve relocated a few times , usually to be close to good schools and work but if that’s not important then what is ? Property prices? Lifestyle ?

I have a UK home in Nottingham , it’s central, good for Birmingham international airport, commutable to London & Cambridge science park, very cheap housing , close to the Peak District and where most of my friends are.

There’s much nicer places like the NE coast and Wales but you’re several hours from London etc

Not sure about canals but Durham, York, Leeds, Harrogate might be worth looking at. Maybe even Liverpool, they are all good cities but also have good and bad areas like all Cities.

Even Nottingham, south of the river, life expectancy is much higher, services far better and property 2x the price!

My area is a great place. An hour to Liverpool and Manchester, just over an hour to Birmingham smack bang on the Welsh border, you get the best of both worlds

"Birmingham

I second this motion.

The West Midlands as a whole is pretty good. Not ridiculously overpriced, good transport. Plus I live here

Really? A lady at work who moved up north told me how bad it was in the Midlands you two being there would help me make my choice though "

Every area has its bad parts. I wonder what she didn't like about the Midlands.

I guess us being here would put you off

East London

"Where is the best spot to relocate to?

Cant be Devon, as im already trying to learn Spanish and cant be at that 2 new languages at the same time lark,,

So Sexy Peeps, hit me with your Best destinations and why,,

And no fighting please,,

We are all friends here.

So now that you've insulted anyone who comes from Devon, what's your next move? thats not true at all, i took Posh out of that mix,,so not everyone in Devon.

And last i check Devon being farm country aint snowflake central , so once translated i seriously doubt they were insulted,,

That is why i didnt focus on London,,, the flood gates would open,, "

I was going to suggest East London; you'll fit right in here

Mr Ambassador.

You may come to the UK ONLY if you come with Ferrero Rocher.

The Pennines in North East England. Absolutely beautiful area, friendly people and low crime rates.

Downside is expensive housing and not much public transport or taxis.

Newcastle, North East, Uk

The best advice I could offer... don't come to the UK honestly, aha. Economy is dead, people are so unhappy here. For anyone else, leave whilst you still have the chance!
