Good evening all, having just put down a fairly decent novel, I wonder what you are all currently reading and your opinions of such.

I've started reading the house of leaves after someone compared me to it.

It's hard work!

The fact someone compared you to it is brilliant. I really enjoyed it - it's not an easy read though.

Currently reading Victory City by Rushdie - it's that sweeping epic fantasy blend of history and mythos I adore.

Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir

By Jenny Lawson

- I was crying I was laughing so hard in just the epiloque. Not even at the book part yet.

- She's normal; with just a crazy crazy life.

- You will buy a copy to just share.

I’m reading the Sicilian by Mario Puzo, it’s a “companion” novel to the Godfather. It’s not a sequel or a prequel more of a companion really. It’s pretty good

Nearer than you think

Recently finished "Bones and All" (DeAngelis) which was surprising and intriguing.

Now on "Shackleton" (Feinnes). I don't usually go for non-fiction, but I'm fascinated by this story.

I’m currently smashing through novels by TM Logan on my kindle.

I like the fact that, if I like an author, I can just immediately download and read the next book of theirs.

Just finished reading Woom.

That was a really messed up book.

Sexually graphic and violent.

Only 129 pages though.

How are you finding Victory City? I have it on the shelf to be read. I’ve enjoyed most of Rushdie’s stories, and especially like his sweeping epic fantasy blend of history and mythos Although I also loved The Golden House recently too.

If you loved that try Dracul by Dacre Stoker, it's inspired by the notes Bram Stoker left behind.

Im currently reading 'Street Without Joy' by Bernard B Fall.

About the French War in Indochina.

I just finished reading Sharpe's Rifles by Bernard Cornwell. I'm slowly working my way through his books. I love learning the history. Plus it's always interesting to see if he sleeps with the ladies before they die or run off with his money

I've also always got a poetry book by the bed, as sometimes the mood takes me to read some.
