Tired but not tired

You know that tired you feel when you know you're tired but can't switch off and sleep tired because your brain is still going 100miles an hour. Yeah, that. I need to go to bed and go to sleep but I know I'll lay there thinking about everything I haven't done or worrying I'll sleep through my alarm

How do you all switch off?

A good fucking or a good spanking followed by a good fucking? That normally does the trick

When I'm feeling like that, either a quick and intense fuck, or if Mr is not here, then a hot solo session with my toys. Once I cum hard I feel so chilled, it's good

If I turn the TV on I lay there all night.

It's possibly sleep procrastination. Do some research into it, once you understand what it is, it's much easier to manage.

Certain songs just make mind shut up.

Great gig in the sky - Pink Floyd.

Certain female voices soothe me. Cranberries - ode to my family

Beth Orton, Norah Jones.

And slow blues like Sky Shacking - by Justin Johnson.

Soul music.

Think of a random word that has at least 5 unique letter, the start imagining things that begin with the first letter, for instance if you picked 'towel' picture items beginning with T for 5-10 seconds

Tiger

Telephone

Trampoline

Teeth etc

Once you get bored of the first letter, repeat for the second and so on.

It's called cognitive shuffling

If you have things spinning around in your mind of things to do. Put a notebook at your bedside and write a to do list, then you don't have them circling in your mind trying not to forget them. Your brain then knows it is written down, and doesn't need to try not to forget.

I spend time connecting with nature perfect for me, when I'm like this. Even just a few minutes outside, feeling some calm and connected to the beauty and wonder, can be enough. A short walk may have inbuilt physiological benefits, tied up with the nature-connection.
