Sorry to hear that OP - I have to be honest I think my gym membership would be one of the last things I give up as I need it for the headspace benefits and I don’t have any decent weights at home.

Have you considered calisthenics/body weight stuff for home exercise?

I used to go to Exercise4Less and think that was about £10-£15 a month. Pure Gym is usually also very reasonable. Some council run gyms offer discounts for those in receipt of benefits, depending on your circumstances. I think it might be called an Ease card (but that may just be in the North East). If that isn’t an option, I find brisk walking is great for mental wellbeing and you may be able to pick up some free or cheap home gym equipment (weights etc) on Marketplace. There’s some really good home workouts on YouTube as well.

I think a lot of us are having to cut back in various ways.

I've seen loads of good advice on here about home exercise in the past. Could you team up with some friends maybe? Are there any outdoor gyms near you?

The Nike training app is free and is really good. They used to charge £10 a month for it prior to Covid...they made it free and haven't charged for it again.

Do you have a free gym in a park near you?

I used to pop to one near my daughter now and then and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

As long as it's not raining, or freezing cold though.
