What's the impression it gives you when it's selected on someone's profile?

Would this put you off meeting them?

Do you think they are weekend drinkers, maybe every night, throughout the day even.

Have a great day all.

Wouldn't put me off. Regular could just be a small glass of wine every night and I'd be in that category.

Always view has it means they Might've a beer/wine one or two a night.

Never see it has meaning on the drink morning to night

Yeah puts me off a bit - it makes me think of someone that drinks every day.

We view them the same as people who have 420 or similar on their profile and avoid them.

I would have said, more than a couple of nights a week, and more than a couple on those nights...

What if it was occasional drinker not regular? Would people have the same opinion?

Not sure what the quantities for either category are, like most categories on here they are pretty vague.

I don't pay any attention to it. It would probably describe the majority of the population

We only drink at weekends so we could be too.

If I was interested in the profile I'd probably just ask, could mean they like a glass of wine after tea or could mean they like 3 bottles of vodka daily.

Wherever the wind takes me

It would make me pause. I had an ex that was an alcoholic so any excessive signs of drinking do make me a bit edgy. But I know that most just like a beer or two and not a full crate.

I recently went for a medical checkup, as part of that I was asked about my drinking.

I replied that I never drink during the week/when I'm up for work but do tend to drink one or two nights at the weekend. Apparently that makes me a binge drinker!

Not drinking this weekend though, as had a hectic weekend in France last weekend.

Regular, a fixed period, every night, every hour, or on Christmas day.

It doesn't put me off. It could be something like having a glass of wine at the end of their week at work.

I've been teetotal all my life but don't have an issue with others drinking.

I do however have an issue with anyone needing a drink before meeting me and the term regular drinker means it plays a regular part in their daily lives.

For that reason we wouldn't be compatible.

Depends on your view of regular.. is it worse if I have 1 glass of wine with my dinner each night, or regularly have 2 bottles of said wine on a Friday night?

It doesn't bother me how much someone drinks, but I won't meet people that have been drinking immediately before the meet and would prefer if they didn't drink during the meet

I don't (very, very rarely) drink and whilst I'm not puritanical about it, I don't like the smell, or taste, of alcohol on other people's breath

I'm also uneasy about consent with someone who has been drinking

I reserve judgement until I meet them in person. If they are totally blottoed then I have no time for that

We love a few drinks on the regular and occasionally even to excess.

It doesn’t effect people we meet as such but we would probably be wary of completely teetotallers as it’s quite obvious they might not be compatible with us.

It would cause me to pause and clarify for sure. I won’t meet someone who’s been drinking a lot, it means consent is questionable at best

It wouldn't put me off. I'd just assume they're more honest than the majority about their drinking habits.

It’s all a it subjective isn’t it.

What is regular for one person is a functional alcoholic for another. Honesty is the best policy.

If someone rocked up to a social/meet stinking of alcohol and clearly the best side of a bottle, I’d let them know and move on.

We like a drink, everyone who knows us knows we like a drink. We're grown adults. So being teetotal is not a requirement of ours. Personally I don't see that regular drinker translates as d*unken mess
