Have you thought about remortgaging? You could get 3 full tanks that way

We spend around £170 every week on diesel. It's absolutely awful but can't be helped.

The easiest way to make sure it costs less to fill your tank up is this.

Buy a smaller tank and future that to your car.

I'll be back with more money saving tips like 'don't forget to eat the box when you've finished your cornflakes' and 'rain water is perfectly fine for bathing/drinking/using to flush the loo' later this week.

It's £1.40 a litre here for our petrol car, though the electric one isn't much cheaper we are still paying 40p a kwh, be glad when both go down in price.

If you don’t mind driving around smelling like a mobile chippie, diesel cars can run on vegetable oil with a bit of meths mixed in…

Glad I have a diesel and does alot of mpg.

Being a 1.5ltre engine there is zero chance of me racing it as well so lasts longer.

Our electric car is costing us less than 2p per mile to run compare that to about 15p per mile for petrol; it's a no brainer.

A tank of diesel lasts me two weeks and yes, I commute to work x3 days and WFH the other 2. We also go for one day "out" at the weekend, usually. To fill the tank is probably about £65-70 now. I remember when £40 of diesel did for two weeks and that wasn't so long ago!
