From Leeds to Edinburgh

If you were celebrating 10 years together where would you go? You guessed it - somewhere between Leeds and Edinburgh.

We like the quiet but being able to watch the world go by. We're not into the night life and would prefer good drinks, being surrounded by great people and no drama.

I'm thinking we might just have to take a bottle of wine into the Lakes for some skinny dipping if we can't find anywhere we like

Durham

Before you’d even said the Lakes I was thinking that. Windermere is nice, could also go to Kendal.

Being a geordie there’s some nice places on the Northumberland coast too. Alnwick, Rothbury, just naming a few.

Happy 10 years

Edinburgh is lovely but I am probably biased.

I'd probably avoid the city centre and go for the outskirts though, maybe even the coast or the countryside. All of it here to explore and some of the locals aren't bad either

Oh thank you all! 10 year anniversary isn't until July but it's creeping up fast

We have thought about Edinburgh. But I like more rural

Congratulations on the 10 years, I'd probably go for a cosy cottage or lodge in the dales

Congratulations on your 10 years!

Lodore Falls in the Lake District is stunning. There’s also a fab hotel called The Impeccable Pig in Sedgefield (nothing really to do around the area, but if you just want to lock yourselves away, the rooms are beautiful). I always love Edinburgh too and loads of nice places in Northumberland.

Many congrats to you two!

Alnwick is nice and a good base to go to the Northumberland coast. If you're lucky with weather it's lovely to walk over to Holy Island.

Enjoy whatever you do.

Manchester-ish

We've stayed in different places in Pickering a few times. Really pretty. Nice bars and cafés. Gorgeous countryside on your doorstep and easy day trips to Robin Hood's Bay etc. Highly recommend Eastgate Cottages.

Jx
