Brighton played well though and had best chances, especially the one at the end.

Hopefully it's a good final but city just seem to stroll most games so will probably be boring unless a city fan.

Brighton really had the ref pulling for them there.

Shame though as would have been really good for them to get to a final after the seasons they have been having.

Now for the obligatory bits.

Shame for those Man City fans having to travel down twice to Wembley during the cup. At least Man Utd only live down the road.

And what does Antony actually do again

Unai Emery is a genius. What he has done at Villa since taking over in November is phenomenal. It’s pretty much the same squad that the old manager had but he’s got them playing with a plan and has improved many of them. If the Villa’s form since November were replicated across a season then we’d be comfortably third in the league. I’m genuinely excited about the future and after many years of abject disappointment, failure and broken dreams I’m savouring the moment.

Southampton, Forest and probably Leeds (although I think Everton and Leicester will push them close). Not sure whether that will change in the unlikely event Everton are given a points deduction for the FFP misdemeanours.

Is frank Lampard one of the biggest joke managers every in the premier League??

I mean he has stiff competition from...

STEVE Bruce

David moyes

Sam allurdyce

I mean Chelsea couldn’t hit a cow arse with a banjo in front of goal at moment...

So best policy is to play a stronger defence to stop the other team scoring and just maybe get lucky and score a goal..

So many late goals this season can’t remember a season like it?

Now league 2... possible 21000 on Monday to see us stutter over the line into the playoff lottery...on finish 8th and miss out..

Its the hope that kills you... 2 days ago 2 wins and other results our way could have seen us up automatically

2-1 really but no, our front three have 39 goals between them and Leeds have the worst defence in the league.

Why 2-1? If Leeds scored then pen then Newcastle wouldn't have got the first one because the run of play would be different.

They do but when teams fighting to stay up they seem to find a way sometimes, like Everton last year getting jammy

I’m just basing it on what actually happened. It’s a fake we should be winning is more what I’m getting at but 5 points should be enough to get us Champions League.

Was listening to Goldbridge’s commentary wasn’t a pretty result but it’s one of them ones you got to grind out to get top four. Think you will do it.

It was definitely needed. I thought we'd bottled it after the last few games and we just looked tired and burnt out that I didn't think we'd get a result. Can't believe this was United's first week off since BEFORE the World Cup. Madness

Always so modest with your score predictions

I reckon city will win about 4-0

Liverpool playing spurs and I'm predicting 2-1 Liverpool but it depends what Liverpool team decides to show upYes. I am as well that, that is a good city prediction too and a liverpool one, also what a game brighton had yesterday, they won against wolves with 6-0

I wasn't happy about Brighton result for obvious reasons but they played well and deserve the points.

I actually used to do stewarding there when I lived in Eastbourne. Yes, for those reasons too, that is good you did stewarding there as well, it must of been fun, it was a good win for man city, they won with 2-1

It depends what part of the ground you're in, if you're on crowd watch by the pitch you see none of the match "

Yes, it is also depends what part of the ground too

I wouldn’t have complained with a red but he pulled out. Similar to the Sabitzer one earlier in the season which I thought was a red. I don’t think it would have changed the game much. Leicester were awful.

I feel it's always like that at Old Trafford. Players are always slipping and I'm not sure why. Real shame about Antony as he would've been needed in the FA Cup final. Hopefully Sancho can step up on the right.

It's taking all my self control to be civil and not say "GET FUCKED LIVERPOOL!" But I'm glad we managed to secure a CL spot without taking it to the final day. Hopefully we can rest some players and keep them fresh for the FA Cup final.

Overall though, it's been a good season. I would've snapped your hand off for top 4 and a trophy at the start of the season, and especially after losing 4-0 to Brentford. We need a couple of signing to push on next season but the FA Cup would just be a bonus right now
