Im virgin media so not sure what network that is. One that doesnt get alerts

Apparently uses Vodafone or O2, depending where you are, so you should have received it unless you deactivated the alerts. We're on O2 and both got it.

My phone vibrated and made a weird siren sound I just deleted it and carried on with my day.

Now if it was a nuclear warning there is fuck all we can do, if it is an alien invasion there is fuck all we can do, if it's a flood we can easily clean up afterward, if it's windy put your clothing out to drying if it too strong bring your clothing in. This emergency alert on the phone is basically designed to scare and control people only the weak-minded will fall for it. If you're concerned that much start prepping buy bulk food bottles of water extra clothing and in secret a gun.
