"I dont know why St George's day is not celebrated much , I always think of the Stan Freeberg St George & the Dragnet sketch " I just don't think people want to. I hear more of how people aren't allowed to celebrate, but I rarely see anyone genuinely celebrating. So how do they know they're not allowed to? | |||

Or Stonehenge which is my absolutely one of my favourite places in the world is? St David's day didn't used to get publicised, people in local communities decided to have a cawl a chan (song and soup) to celebrate. They organised Eisteddfodau which celebrates folk dancing, poetry, singing etc etc. I don't think anyone would ever say this would be racist, but bringing communities together. But there needs to be a drive to do it, even if there are objections initially. I generally only see drive to complain that the English aren't allowed to celebrate, not in the celebration of Englishness. | |||
