or women too to be fair.

I’m interested to hear from guys about what changes they’ve found in their sexual health, sexual energy, libido, etc when being fitter vs unfit.

I’m several stone heavier than I should be. Once was in the gym 8-9 times per week and now my physical activity is a lot less. I’m significantly weaker than I was at 21-23 years old.

I definitely find my libido has dropped a bit, orgasms aren’t as powerful, ejaculate slightly less than I used to. Maybe some of it is to do with aging but nearing 30 seems negligible. Having said that, from 25 years old to now I have had a lot more stress, career picked up a lot, more intense financial responsibilities so that could be a factor.

Planning to get fitter and stronger again, and I’ll be interested to see the sexual changes that come with it.

I’m not worried about myself or anything, just curious to hear peoples experiences

I find that confidence increases sex drive more than actual fitness.

Am I healthier and fitter now than I was year ago? Maybe marginally. Am I happier in who I am as a person? Infinitely so. I believe it's the latter that's restored my sex drive, not the former.

That’s really interesting. I’d say I’m the most comfortable I’ve ever been. Definitely in terms of confidence and more secure in myself. Interesting reflection.

It is very rare for me to get random erections now but the morning after I have been running I always wake up hard.

Conversely, when I was in my thirties and training for marathons my sex drive dropped off considerably as my runs got longer.

My libido changes when I have a partner that inspires it. Usually my fitness tends to improve drastically too.

Massively increased my libido! I’m like a goddamn sexual tyrannosaurus!

Gym/fitness releases those awesome happy hormones and the confidence boost is great!

My health was impacted by illness in my late 30's, until then sex was pretty much daily. Since then it steadily declined and now dropped off a cliff, more through choice, as I found I (or they) wasn't able to enjoy 1/2 of what I was doing before.

48 sex drive worst than ever, normally need sex or a wank 3 times a day, normally hard when I wake up at night. I’ve always been pretty horny. I keep myself fit I would say that my cock is rock hard still but maybe it was even harder at 30.

Male hormones go down the toilet when body fat increases hence the correlation between reduced libido and getting out of shape. Aromatase enzymes live in fat cells, more fat = more aromatase enzymes which results in more testosterone getting converted to estrogen

since you include women... I have always had a very high sex drive and that hasn't channged

as fitness levels change, I have learned to adapt how I approach it accordingly

Through a combination of lockdown, having a child, catching Covid and moving too far away from work to cycle, I've not really managed to maintain any sort of regular exercise regime for about three years now. There have been sporadic attempts, but life is so chaotic that it's fizzled out each time. Upshot: I've put a couple of stone on and now I get out of breath going up stairs.

It's certainly not done any damage to my libido. The urge is as powerful and as regular as ever. I'm just less likely to convince anyone to have sex with my fat ass and my stamina isn't quite what it was. Oh, and the wheezing. That's probably not very sexy, is it?

Needless to say, now I've made my triumphant return to the site*, upping the exercise, dropping the snacks and making myself a bit ore of a prospect is pretty high on the agenda. I've kicked the snacks, dropped the booze intake right down and dusted off the gym gear. Just need to dig the bike out of the garage now...

*Look, Your definition of "triumphant" may vary, OK?

I stay healthy and reasonably fit. My performance hasn't been affected as I have got older but my desire has. I am fortunate to have good mental health so it's a bit of a puzzle why I feel that way.

There are many studies that show a link between the modern diet and low testosterone...well all hormones.

I have been low carb for nearly 3 years now and along with the increase in fat consumption I have lost 4 stone and my hormones have been kickstarted.

I now have a very glorious morning, every morning, and feel younger than I did when I was 30.

So fitness has some thing to do with awxual health...but its low cholesterol that really trashes your sex drive.
