"I was exiled to England when I was 5 and have meandered nomadically across the various parts of the NW. For me, the Lake District was the backdrop to much of my childhood, as my Grandparents did more up-bringing than my mother ever did. It's beautiful and full of adventures and I love it. I feel at home there, when I feel like a person without a place they are truly "from". We currently live in ex mining, pie territory. The specific village is very old and has lots of provenance. The nearest big town is famous for not having a train station " Love the lake district too. Lots of Camping and adventures when younger.

"Best thing about my town is it is just a few mile from the Motherland Wales. I get the best of both worlds. My area is steeped in history, very rural very pretty and pretty much central to everywhere, Birmingham/Liverpool/Manchester being just over an hour away " The boarder lands are beautiful that is for sure

"Given the society we live in, I’m sure it won’t be long before some do-gooding woke will be demanding St George has been horribly cruel to animals for slaying the dragon and the we should not commemorate or glorify such a barbaric act! R x" Maybe, but today we're celebrating England
