Could he be any more evasive? He really hasn't got a clue. As an NHS worker I would love him to come and see the pressure we work under or actually observe an a&e department, witness the queues of ambulances waiting to hand over their patients etc. The plans to close accident and emergencies will cost lives

Rant over (sorry it's not Thursday yet!)

As our great Governments have allowed so many to settle in this country its about time they budgetted for it.

More people in more services required...simples, doesn't take much to work that out! If the country is in that bad a state maybe MP's could reduce their wages and expenses! as a gesture.

True (aside from allowing people to settle here ).

Problem is with budgeting, there's no money in the pot thanks to the last government.

The NHS is strapped, but who will make decisions about its make up if not ministers ? They are fed information from the NHS managers themselves ? Good luck with this one !

I'll never understand how he managed to maintain ministerial rank after the whole BskyB affair. He must have some serious dirt on DC. Pics of him bumping Nick Clegg perhaps.

But services are going to continue to be cut. We simply don't have the money. We've a huge deficit and are borrowing so many billion a year to cover it. We've a huge aging population who all need medical care and a huge young population that won't stop breeding. My money (sorry, a banks money) is on us going down the Greek route with the next 10 years.

The above post should have said "bumming Nick Clegg". Fecking predictive text.

But you got the gist.

"He has the right name if you think about it."

Jim Naughtie actually called him Jeremy Cunt live on radio 4.

It's still on youtube.

YOU can kiss the NHS goodbye. They promised they wouldnt privatise it, a promise which they have kind of kept.

What they have done though is set things up for private companys to move in which will guarantee the slow erosion of the NHS as a public service.

Virgin health already runs some GP surgerys and apparently those services are now terrible.

When they say "we are all in this together" i think they really mean is conservative labour and the banks are in it together.

In 2014 if Bulgaria and Romania get the freedom to just waltz into our country we could see the collapse of some of our services , our ministers have to wake up now , no wonder my sisters just walked away from the NHS after 30yrs service!

Once again, people love the idea that immigration is the cause of all this. It is just a drop in the welfare ocean.

No not saying that its the cause , the cause will be because of all the cuts, but the possible influx of thousands of extra people may cause the service to collapse under the extra pressure , its already on its knees in some areas.

Truth of the matter is that a high percentage of our doctors are immigrants. Shall we ask them all to leave and have no one to fill their places ? See everything as negative and falling apart and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy....let's make our roles work ?
