I was just using various sites to decide which club we should visit in the near future. Whilst doing so, I found a news article about a certain club. I won't name them, that would be unfair as they've done nothing wrong. However, they found themselves involved in a murder trial.

The accused used the Alibi of being at this certain club at the time of the murder. The club provided CCTV and this was shown in court. Indeed it shows the accused sitting in the club. He was still found guilty though.

It must be pretty crap for the club, having its name in the regional press, associated with a murder!

Not really. They provided cctv (I they were there but not at the time of the offence) and has been incarcerated as a result of the clubs cooperation with the police.

Yep, but as is clear from being on this site, with people not reading profiles - a significant proportion of society don't read the full story. Instead, they take bits of information and assume. Usually incorrectly.

I really enjoyed an article about my local club that stated after further enquiries. A child sighted entering it, was in fact just a short woman

Lol brilliant!

One of the national newspapers did an article about a well known Midlands club which hosted a swinger wedding. Unfortunately the bride and groom we're arguing in the street outside the club and the newspaper printed pictures of then doing so. #awkward

There have been several unsavoury incidents at various clubs over the last decade.

None the fault of the clubs and all down to individuals.

The fact all the clubs have assisted in investigations and shared info that has led to prosecutions should be admired, and goes to show how clubs value their members.

It also highlights how important it is that clubs have proper membership schemes, know who is on their premises and have the means to share that with police where necessary.

It amazes me that some clubs still operate with no membership structure, no record keeping and no means of identifying who's walked through their doors should the need arise.

I read the article about this case, the club itself had nothing to do with the incident.

Something i been watching is that more and more cases like this are happening frequently where the predator or predators they infiltrate themselves in the swing community scene to commit their horrendous crimes for probably being a easy target to search for their victims, mostly womens.

All care about ourselves feeling safe is needed these days more than never from the moment we leave the clubs when alone
